5 ways to watch The Oscars online

If yours is a Horlicks, shaken not stirred, hold the hot milk this Sunday night and pour yourself a strong, black coffee instead. It’s Oscars night and, here in the UK, it’s on way past our bedtimes. It’s also only on Sky. So, if you can’t ‘dish it out’, here are five alternative ways to catch the 83rd Academy Awards online.
- Facebook
AP Live is live streaming the Oscars Red Carpet to fans of its Facebook page. - Twitter
Follow the official Academy Twitter account for real-time updates - or this list of ‘Mominees’ (mums of Oscar nominees). - iPhone
Make your Oscar predications with the official Oscars iPhone app, then compare them with live results. - Google
Google have put up a special Oscar Search Trends page, where you can track ‘most talked about’ by Oscar category - and take a tour of the Kodak Theatre in Google Earth. - Live streaming
You can watch The Oscars live on its official website, and for a $4.99 upgrade see all the backstage action, including, I’m told, James Franco on the loo.
